Very rarely, software installations can become corrupted for various reasons. In such cases, it may be necessary to completely uninstall and reinstall Ampler.
To fully uninstall Ampler and remove all traces from your machine, please follow these steps:
- Close all Office applications in which you have Ampler installed (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and/or Outlook)
- Uninstall Ampler using ‘Add/Remove Programs’ on your computer
- Delete these folders (if they exist):
%localappdata%\Ampler
Note: that the path%localappdata%usually refers toC:\Users\[username]\AppData\Localwhere[username]is your Windows username%localappdata%\Programs\Ampler%appdata%\Ampler
Note: that the path%appdata%usually refers toC:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roamingwhere[username]is your Windows usernameC:\Program Files (x86)\Ampler
- Remove this registry key if it exists:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins\SmartTools
In a corporate environment, you can then reinstall Ampler by having your IT department redeploy it to your computer, or by following the steps below:
- Download latest version: https://my.ampler.io/Downloads/AmplerInstaller.exe
- Right click the downloaded installer and choose ‘Run as administrator’
