How to enable Ampler through COM-add-ins

In some situations, Ampler might have been disabled. Follow the steps below to re-enable it.

 

Enable Ampler

  1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word or Outlook
  2. Select FileOptions
  3. In the PowerPoint Options window, select Add-ins
  4. At the bottom of the window, locate the Manage dropdown
  5. Select COM Add-ins and click Go…
  6. In the list of installed add-ins:
    • Enable Ampler by checking the box next to Ampler
    • Disable Ampler by clearing the box next to Ampler
  7. Click OK
  8. Restart PowerPoint if prompted

Note: In some rare cases Ampler might be enabled and it not showing up in the ribbon. If so please Disable Ampler by clearing the box, and then follow the instructions on how to enable it.

 

If Ampler is not listed

Office may automatically disable add-ins that affect startup or performance.

  1. Go to FileOptionsAdd-ins
  2. In the Manage dropdown, select Disabled Items
  3. Click Go…
  4. Select Ampler and click Enable
  5. Restart PowerPoint

 

Troubleshooting

If Ampler does not appear or load correctly:

  • Verify that Ampler is installed on your computer
  • Ensure you are using a supported version of Microsoft Office
  • Restart PowerPoint, Excel, Word or Outlook after enabling Ampler
  • Contact your IT administrator if Office add-ins are managed centrally in your organization

 

Tip: If you are troubleshooting PowerPoint performance or startup issues, temporarily disable Ampler and restart PowerPoint to determine whether the issue is related to the add-in.
