Save or email selected slides as PowerPoint or PDF

Ampler saves or emails just the slides you select, as PowerPoint, PDF, PDF with notes, or all three — so you send the right subset in the right format without splitting the deck by hand.

Quick answer: Select the slides, click Save As (Ctrl+Shift+S) or Email (Ctrl+Shift+X) on the Ampler ribbon, choose the format, name the file, and click Save or Send.

How to use it

Saving or emailing selected slides as PowerPoint or PDF with Ampler

Select slides, choose the format, then save or email just those slides.

  1. Select the slides you want — or none, to include the whole deck.
  2. Click Save As (Ctrl+Shift+S) or Email (Ctrl+Shift+X) on the Ampler ribbon.
  3. Choose the format — PowerPoint, PDF, PDF with notes, or all three — and a date format for the file name.
  4. Type the file name and click Save As, Send, or press Enter.

Selecting slides first exports only those; the rest of the deck stays untouched.

Keyboard shortcut

Save As is Ctrl+Shift+S and Email is Ctrl+Shift+X by default; both can be reassigned in the Ampler Settings → Shortcuts.

Why use it

Sending only part of a deck normally means duplicating the file, deleting the slides you don’t want, and exporting — every time. Ampler exports the selected slides directly, in the format you need, and can email them without leaving PowerPoint.

How consultants use it

Client communication is selective: you send the two slides that answer the question, not the eighty-slide working deck, and usually as a PDF so the layout is fixed. Ampler makes that routine. Three habits apply:

  • Send only what’s relevant: a chosen subset of slides goes out, not the whole working file.
  • PDF to fix the final look: a read-only PDF stops the recipient’s PowerPoint from reflowing the deck.
  • Fast, in-place distribution: save or email the selection without splitting the file by hand.

Save or email selected slides makes controlled sharing a two-click job.

Tips & best practices

  • Select slides before exporting to send just those; select none for the whole deck.
  • Use PDF for external recipients so the layout can’t shift.
  • Clean the file with Clean before sending sensitive decks externally.
