  1. Select and copy (CTRL+C) shapes or a slide from PowerPoint
  2. Click ‘Paste Object’
  3. Select ‘Data’ to embed a local editable copy in the document, or ‘Link’ to keep a link to the original source
  4. Choose how to size and position the object, and click OK
