Ampler makes selected shapes or pictures the same width, the same height, or both — matched to the object you selected last — so a set shares exact dimensions.
Quick answer: Select the objects, choosing the reference last, then click Same width or Same height; use Single Selection to fit one object’s width to the margins.
How to use it

Select the reference last, then match the rest to it.
- Hold Shift and left-click to select the shapes or pictures — select the reference last.
- Click Same width or Same height to match the selection to the last-selected object.
- Use Single Selection to adjust a single object’s width to the page margins.
Matching to the last selection makes a set of objects share exact dimensions.
Keyboard shortcut
These functions have no default shortcut. To assign one, open the Settings dropdown on the Ampler ribbon, choose Shortcuts, click Set shortcut on the function, and press your key combination.
Why use it
A set of figures that are almost the same size looks careless, and matching them by typing dimensions is tedious. Same width and Same height snap the selection to the reference object’s size in one click, and Single Selection fits one object to the margins.
How consultants use it
Uniform figure dimensions are a basic quality signal in a report. Three habits apply:
- Uniform dimensions: a set of figures shares one exact size.
- Match to a chosen reference: the last-selected object sets the standard.
- Fit to the margins: a single object can be sized to the page width.
Equalising size makes a set of figures truly uniform.
Tips & best practices
- Select the correctly-sized object last — it’s the reference.
- Use Single Selection to fit a figure to the page width.
- Combine with distribution and alignment for an even, uniform row.
